Even though it’s a holiday for most people, I thought I’d post some fun stuff from around the web, to liven up the day “Disturbingly Creative Snowmen” from Huffpost – some of them are direct recreations of scenes from my all-time favorite comic strip, Calvin & Hobbes. Seven plus inches, baby!

And it’s still growing! I mean, the snow is still coming down. What? Stop looking at me like that! The picture to the left is me measuring the snow on top of my car that’s fallen since last night. If it’s a little hard to see, it’s 7.25 inches. Oh, and the ruler is standing up by itself in the snow. This is only my second winter living here in the Pacific Northwest, and this is the first really major snowfall. When we got snow last year, it was maybe a couple inches, enough to look pretty, and then it was gone. Snow is enough of a novelty that I’m absolutely delighted in it, but am also REALLY glad I don’t have to go out in it. Today is the last day of Dead Week, and I did have class today.
